Forsmark nuclear power plant is one of the largest electricity producers in Sweden and we produce one sixth of the electricity consumed in Sweden. Forsmarks Kraftgrupp is now looking for a project sponsor/contractor!

In the Plant Technology unit, we work to develop and maintain high availability over time for Forsmark's three production plants. This means highlighting long-term plant needs by compiling, reporting and realizing.

The unit includes the group System Management Mechanics, Process, Construction, which ensures that the status of the facilities is documented and maintained. The group analyzes and evaluates the need for renewal, which they then prepare and present to the company management and Vattenfall. The group then acts as an ordering function for projects involving plant renewals.

Today we are 15 committed colleagues with varying backgrounds and education, together we have solid experience of working in the nuclear power industry and at Forsmark.We often collaborate with colleagues from operations, maintenance, purchasing, the project office and the engineering department as well as external parties.

Here are examples of your responsibilities in the role of Project Sponsor/Orderer:

  • Conduct monetary risk assessments for identified potential needs
  • Build the business case and action planning (action selection)
  • Lead feasibility studies from documented need to project start-up
  • Part of the project steering committee
  • Manage the project and ensure that there are conditions for success and that the project takes care of what needs to be considered
  • Represent the projects to the management and owners
  • Responsibility for the projects' safety processing and finances
  • Active participation in the work of developing and improving work processes for both the group and the entire unit.

Requirements

You have:

  • Secondary education in, for example, technology or economics
  • A few years of relevant work experience
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English (spoken and written).

It is advantageous if you have experience of:

  • Project management and technical client roles
  • Leadership roles and decision-making
  • Work in large-scale industrial environments such as process industry, manufacturing and / or production
  • High school or university education in, for example, engineering or industrial economics.

We also offer work buses with wireless network on the Gävle-Forsmark and Uppsala-Forsmark routes, which gives you the opportunity to use the travel time as working time if/when work allows.
