About the role

Are you a quality engineer and want to work with quality and control of mechanical constructions? Do you also want to contribute to Sweden's fossil-free electricity supply?

We are now looking for a Quality Engineer in mechanics for the Quality Technology group at Forsmark Power Group!

About the job

The Mechanical Quality Technology group is responsible for, among other things, the control of design, manufacturing and assembly documents. We participate in the installation and in the procurement process of spare parts and other equipment.

As a quality engineer, you will be part of a close-knit group with high job satisfaction and where we help each other. The level of experience is high and everyone works broadly, but with a focus on different areas of responsibility. The group works through the entire chain from purchasing, design and manufacturing to installation and documentation. We work with requirements, review and verification in matters relating to mechanical design, materials and welding technology, non-destructive testing (NDT) and supplier selection.

You will work with a wide network of contacts both within Forsmark and with external suppliers in Sweden and abroad. The group also participates in supplier assessments, which may involve travel to manufacturers all over the world.

Requirement specification

We would like you to have:

  • technical education at least at upper secondary level. If you have a post-secondary education in mechanics or quality, or equivalent work experience, it is meritorious.
  • previous experience of technical quality work, for example with control, inspection, non-destructive testing (NDT) and interpretation of regulatory requirements.
  • fluent in Swedish and English in both speech and writing.
  • experience from the process or manufacturing industry. If you have experience from working in the nuclear power industry, it is extra meritorious.
  • experience in quality work or training in welding is meritorious for the position.

As a person, you are structured and have an eye for detail. You have a drive in your work and make sure to capture issues that exist and work with them until they are completed. The tasks vary all the time, which means that you need to be flexible and adaptable, and have the ability to change focus at short notice. We believe you will thrive in a multi-faceted role, using both your good communication skills as well as your ability to collaborate with different types of people and disciplines.
