Forsmark Power Group is now looking for a safety engineer in one of the areas of mechanical process maintenance, safety analysis or safety protection!

The Safety and Quality Department works to be reviewing, supporting and interpreting requirements linked to radiation safety. The department provides support to the company's CEO on radiation safety issues. The goal is to contribute to Forsmark's marginal compliance with safety requirements and to be a driving force in developing safety at the company in terms of technology, operations and culture.

You will work in the Radiation Safety unit, our mission is to, together with other units in the safety department, be a driving force for the development and maintenance of radiation safety at Forsmark. This is mainly carried out in the form of independent radiation safety reviews and safety assessments of operational decisions.

About the work

As a safety engineer in one of the areas of mechanical process maintenance, safety analyses or safety protection, you work with responsible tasks to ensure and develop Forsmark's plant safety.

You will work with independent radiation safety reviews of safety-related documentation as well as plant modifications and component replacements, as well as safety analysis investigations related to mechanical integrity or operational readiness. The work also includes interpreting regulatory requirements and acting as a coordinator for regulatory matters, as well as analyzing and evaluating Forsmark's safety work.

You will have regular contact with authorities and build a broad network, both within the Vattenfall Group and externally. The work gives you a good overall view of the operations and the safety structure of the plants.

Requirement specification

We are looking for you who are a university engineer, civil engineer or have equivalent competence, either through other education or relevant work experience.

You have solid knowledge of nuclear power plant construction, operation and maintenance. You also have experience in one of the areas such as mechanical maintenance, safety analysis and/or safety protection linked to radiation safety or security protection. Experience of working with nuclear power related issues is a great advantage.

The work requires collaboration, quality and adherence to procedures. We value qualities such as responsibility, clarity and flexibility. You enjoy working with others and are happy to share your knowledge and thus contribute to the development of the team. To succeed in the role, you need to have good communication skills and master both Swedish and English in speech and writing.
