Job description


At Vattenfall, we work to enable a fossil-free life within a generation. We are looking for you who want to contribute with your skills to ensure that Vattenfall's socially important mission as Security Vetting Specialist.

Vattenfall is part of Sweden's critical infrastructure. This means that many of our services are placed in a security class according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585).

In order to comply with security protection legislation, the Security Vetting Unit is responsible for the security vetting process together with Vattenfall's security organization.

The unit is operationally responsible for carrying out register checks, background checks and security screening interviews for employment and other positions that are placed in security class. The unit currently consists of 24 employees divided between specialists, investigators and managers. We are now continuing to develop the business and need to strengthen with another Security Vetting Specialist located in Solna, alternatively Luleå.

Your duties as a vetting specialist

As a Vetting Specialist within the Security Vetting Unit at Vattenfall, you contribute to the possibility of creating a fossil-free life by ensuring that the right people are brought in to Vattenfall's security-classified services.

You have an important function within the department to ensure that our cases are handled carefully, on time and with the right quality. You work closely with other colleagues within the team to handle incoming cases and identify and resolve operational and administrative challenges associated with the various steps of the security review process. You will also be involved in promoting and improving our routines in the form of various projects.

You will mainly handle registry control cases for forwarding to our supervisory authority Svenska Kraftnät (SvK).

You will collaborate with Vattenfall's recruitment organization, recruiting managers and not least Vattenfall's safety protection organization. You also have contact with our candidates and work actively and preventively with the aim of contributing to a good candidate experience through professional and inclusive work.



Requirements specification


You have a genuine interest in volume management of information, and you also have a well-developed ability to accurately assess the accuracy of incoming documents. You work with a clear structure and have a high security awareness. You have great commitment and lack prestige. You have good judgement, are open-minded and open-minded and enjoy being part of a team, even if you often carry out your tasks on your own.

You take clear ownership of your area of ​​responsibility and drive your work forward independently. You work actively to create and manage good relationships within and outside the organization.


In addition to the above qualifications, you have:

  • Previous work experience in the area of ​​register control management and personnel security with a focus on the former.
  • Academic degree in the field of safety, behavioral or personnel science, alternatively work experience that Vattenfall considers suitable for the position.
  • Documented knowledge and/or experience of record control management.
  • Good knowledge of the Office package and in using system support
  • Fluent Swedish and English in both speech and writing.
