About the role

Do you want to help shape the production unit of the future? Do you want to contribute to Sweden's fossil-free electricity supply?

Now you have the opportunity to do so at the Production department at Ringhals. We work together to operate Ringhals 3 and 4 in an efficient and safe way.

Our goal is to use our resources more efficiently to become flexible in our production and be available when we are needed in Sweden's electricity grid. To achieve this, we need committed employees who want to make a difference together with a strong team. We are now looking for a Shift Technical Advisor (STA) for the RDP unit to complete the staffing of the shift teams.


About the job

As STA, you are a technical support to the control room operators and an important part of the shift team. The role is staffed 24/7 and has a clear focus on safe operations - both during normal and disrupted operations.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Support the unit operators in the control room with technical assessments and guidance
  • Contribute to good radiation safety through action plans and decisions
  • Participate in the accident preparedness organization as Operational Engineer Accident
  • Trained to be able to act as VHI (Duty Engineer)

About you

We are looking for you who have a strong focus on safety and thrive in a role with great responsibility. You are confident in your technical skills and have the courage to make independent decisions - even under pressure.


We look for you to have:

  • Good operating experience of PWR blocks
  • Good knowledge of accident management
  • Ability to work independently and make quick decisions
  • A questioning attitude with safety in focus

As STA you belong to a shift team but independence and courage are required in the position, as you are expected to be able to overrule the position of the deputy shift manager.

STA has a central role in Ringhals organization mainly in the event of disrupted operations and other unforeseen events, which means that you need to be able to cooperate both internally and externally. Contacts with authorities also occur, which requires you to have good ability to express yourself in speech and writing.
