We at Vattenfall are working intensively to make Sweden fossil-free within a generation. You will work in the department responsible for developing Vattenfall's portfolio of land-based wind power projects in Sweden.

We are now looking for a stakeholder manager.

The role of Stakeholder manager

The role of stakeholder manager is central in our wind power projects from the early stages until the park is ready to be put into operation. You will take care of important relationships with stakeholders in our development projects, for example landowners, local residents, interest organisations, Sami villages and municipalities. You have an important role in demonstrating the need and benefits of wind power in Sweden and in having a dialogue with opposing interests.

As a stakeholder manager, you work closely with the project manager and will be a specialist and advisor in matters relating to communication, message, tone, imagery, channel selection and contacts with stakeholders. You will produce stakeholder analysis and communication plans in the projects. You will also contribute to the work with communication strategy, plan and implementation of the entire portfolio including various communication activities.

Monitoring the environment and analyzing the environment both internally and externally is a central part of achieving success. For us, local benefits and added value are important and you will be able to pursue issues with the local business community in the areas where we have projects. The local presence means that the role requires travel within Sweden.

We are looking for you who want to drive development, find new forms of cooperation and collaborations. You have documented experience in relationship building, a wide contact network and have solid experience in community contacts. You also have experience in handling difficult situations.

The role will be designed based on the skills of the applicant. This will include tasks with overall communication issues for our entire project portfolio.

Requirements specification

Competence and experience

  • You must have a university degree in communication or equivalent competence.
  • Relevant work experience with communication and relationship with various stakeholders.
  • Experience in finding solutions and added value where there are conflicting interests and difficult situations.
  • Experience of work within project organization.
  • Very good communication skills in writing and speaking, above all in Swedish but also in English.
  • Community-oriented and understanding of/knowledge of national, regional and local politics"
  • Driving license.

Particularly meritorious

  • Good understanding of the energy industry and the wind power industry and especially understanding of project development work.
  • Experience in media management.
  • Has knowledge in new digital solutions.
  • Experience with social media.
  • Knowledge and experience reindeer husbandry issues.
  • Broad network with relevant stakeholders.

To succeed in the role, you need to have an eye both for the overall picture and for the small details, create good collaborations and like to have a lot of contact with both external and internal stakeholders. You need to understand the importance of long-term relationships and show respect for different opinions. You can easily communicate with all kinds of people, even under pressure and when opinions may differ. As a person, you are positive, confident, see opportunities, solution-oriented and proactive. Project development land-based wind power Sweden

With increased ambitions, the department responsible for the development of land-based wind power in Sweden has grown as the portfolio has been expanded with more projects. We run projects from the first land negotiation, through i.a. the environmental permit processes, even investment decisions and up to the start of construction for the wind farms. The department includes consists of project managers, permit specialists, stakeholder managers and coordinators.
