Are you the one?

Vattenfall Vattenkraft is responsible for Vattenfall's 90 hydropower plants and approx. 300 dams in the Nordic region. We are approximately 500 employees in Sweden and Finland with headquarters in Luleå. Hydropower's renewable electricity production is a prerequisite for creating a climate-smart and fossil-free society where we play an important role as an enabler for the sustainable energy system of the future. Our production corresponds to approx. 25% of Sweden's total electricity needs. In order to deliver high availability in our production, we need to constantly challenge ourselves, develop our working methods and take advantage of digital opportunities.

Do you want to have fun at work and at the same time work for a fossil-free society?

Now you have the opportunity to do it with us. To reach our goal, we need committed employees who want to contribute to a better climate. We make the green transition possible and carry out extensive investments in our hydropower plants, which leads to a number of exciting and varied assignments and projects being carried out.

Vattenfall Vattenkraft's operational IT organization continues to grow and now we are looking for more system engineers IT/OT for Luleå, Jokkmokk and Sundsvall!

As an IT/OT systems engineer, you primarily work with Vattenfall Vattenkraft's process-related IT/OT infrastructure. This often means "hands on" work with both hardware and software. It involves everything from correcting errors and deficiencies to building and configuring various solutions, as well as following up on system alarms and verifying causes. Part of the work involves troubleshooting in distributed IT environments with many integration surfaces and a large geographical spread.

In the team, we are currently 10 colleagues who work closely together in a helpful, open and active work environment. We place high demands on security and privacy awareness, all parts of our work are characterized by a clear focus on IT security where we have to challenge ourselves and stay one step ahead.

The work is varied and you are offered good opportunities to be involved and influence how we develop and manage critical IT/OT solutions at a time when hydropower is a very important part of Sweden's total electricity mix. Our hydroelectric plants are used to generate both base power (the amount of electricity that is always needed) and control power (electricity production that can be started quickly to meet variations in demand). Come and work with us!

As an IT/OT systems engineer, you will have good opportunities to use both your curiosity and reasoning skills in various situations.
