Vattenfall IT is an internal IT integrated supplier that supports the entire Vattenfall Group. As an end-to-end IT provider, our goal is to excel in delivering effective IT services and solutions. This role belongs in the Asset IT part of the organization. Asset IT takes overall responsibility for all IT deliveries to asset-heavy business units within Vattenfall.

In this role, your focus area will be Vattenfall Vattenkraft Ab, which is a business unit responsible for Vattenfall's 90 hydropower plants and 400 dams in the north. Hydropower's renewable electricity production is a prerequisite for creating a climate-smart and fossil-free society. As part of your work, you discover new trends and developments in IT and decide on their relevance to the IT systems together with the IT architect and the line manager.

About the role

• Resolve incidents in collaboration with relevant areas of expertise.
• Make decisions and prioritize activities regarding cross-functional issues.
• Ensure a controlled communication and planning of maintenance windows.
• Lifecycle management for applications in your area of ​​responsibility.
• Monitor and report KPIs to support the continuous maintenance of the systems and be responsible for actions related to the operation of the systems.
• Ensure system documentation is maintained.
• Apply technical safety requirements.
• Responsibility for the annual operating maintenance budget (planning and follow-up).
• Collaborate with people both inside and outside the immediate organization as well as with suppliers.

Requirements specification

In the role, you will ensure that applications are improved and optimized according to the customer's requirements, which includes upgrades and support packages. You will also collaborate with other system administrators in our effort to have a redundant organization. We would therefore like you to:

• Has 3-7 years of relevant work experience as a system administrator.
• Has general systems and ITIL knowledge.
• Self-motivated and responsible.
• Is cooperative and positive.
• Has excellent communication skills in Swedish and English - verbally and in writing.
• Meritorious if you have knowledge of Hydropower plants

The technical skills that are in demand are:

• PowerShell
• SQL
• SQL Server
• Windows Server
• RHEL
• Oracle
