Vattenfall Vattenkraft is responsible for Vattenfall's 90 hydropower plants and approx. 300 dams in the Nordic region. Now we are looking for a team leader for our mechanical maintenance!

You will be part of a maintenance group consisting of mechanics, electricians, lead fitters, alarm technicians, warehouse technicians, team leaders and managers. We start from Stornorrfors, Storuman and Lycksele and work with inspections, shutdowns, maintenance and reconstruction projects at hydropower facilities in the Ume river and Skellefte river, we can also take on jobs in Vattenfall's facilities in other rivers if necessary.

In this position, you will become part of our mech team and will be based in Stornorrfors. We mainly work with generators, turbines (and their auxiliary equipment) as well as inlet and outlet hatches. As a team leader, you have an important role in creating the conditions for our maintenance work, for example you will work with:

  • Planning, preparation, daily management and follow-up of completed work
  • Co-planning for overhauls and shutdowns
  • Handling of received error messages, problem solving and certain investigations
  • Deviation reporting, order processing and condition checks
  • Systematic safety and work environment work.

Requirements specification

We are looking for you who have education in, for example, industrial/workshop technology, mechanics and/or maintenance. You can also acquire equivalent knowledge through work experience. It is advantageous if you have experience in mechanical maintenance work at hydropower plants or similar industrial activities. We would like for you to have had a leading role where you have gained experience working with planning, prioritization and coordination.

As a person, you are committed and initiative-taking, you create conditions and inspire trust. To work as a team leader, it is important that you are structured, that you have good planning skills and that you appreciate taking on and working on various improvements.

Workplace safety is number one, you need to be an attentive and confident team leader who thrives on collaboration. You take great responsibility for the work being done efficiently under safe conditions with ongoing risk observations.

You have good IT skills, good knowledge of Swedish and English and a B driving licence. Travel in the service occurs.
