About the role

The energy transition is not a solo task. To meet the needs of an exciting time, we need to strengthen the team in the Communications Department with a Web Editor, a temporary position for one year. With a well-thought-out and strong communication both internally and externally, we contribute to the visibility of our important work.

A little over 1000 employees and another 600 contractors work at Ringhals. Here we have both reactors in operation and reactors under decommissioning, in addition, the conditions for new nuclear power in our immediate area are currently being investigated.

The Communications Department at Ringhals is now looking for a curious and driving web editor for a temporary position for one year.

About the job

Well-informed employees and the trust of the outside world are a prerequisite for operating nuclear power plants. Everything we do in the Communications Department contributes in some way to maintaining and strengthening our trust, internally and externally. We have an important task. As a web editor in the Communications Department, you will work both independently and in teams with creative and committed colleagues to create engaging content.

In your role

In the role of web editor, you are an important team player in the editorial team. Together with the rest of the team, you evaluate, plan and implement varied communication assignments for publication in our various channels, internally and externally. You will collaborate with others in the Communications Department to develop effective ways of working in the field. There is also a lot of interaction with the rest of the organization, such as heads of department, project managers and staff from other departments. Collaboration also takes place with colleagues at the Forsmark nuclear power plant.

Overall tasks:

  • Work with content production for our channels, such as writing, photo and film assignments.
  • Plan, coordinate and adapt content together with the editorial team in all channels as well as graphic design and layout.
  • Work for increased attractiveness and strengthened workplace brand, internally and externally.

Requirements

We are looking for you who have

  • Post-secondary education in journalism or college / university degree in media and communication
  • Practical experience as an editor / writer, preferably from a local newspaper or other business with a focus on interviews and news production
  • Experience in text production and basic graphic design
  • General interest in technology and curiosity about facility issues

Advantageous is

  • In-depth knowledge of interview techniques and news evaluation
  • Background in communications in a technical or industrial environment

You are a confident and creative web editor at the beginning of your career or with a few years of experience who naturally brings a journalistic perspective to your work. You are inspired by creating varied and targeted content that builds value and trust internally and externally. As a person, you are independent, take initiative and have confidence in your ability to make decisions. You enjoy taking responsibility for further developing our communication.

You have an eye for detail and take responsibility for ensuring that all material is of a high standard, according to Vattenfall's graphic profile. An interest in technology and an ability to understand complex issues will help you thrive and succeed in this role.
