The municipality of Vestre Toten has five elementary schools with after-school programs (SFO) and one middle school, with a total of approximately 1,300 students. Vestre Toten is an innovative municipality committed to fostering a shared understanding. Elementary school staff work according to the TRIM values—safety, respect, inclusion, and mastery.

Reinsvoll School is an elementary school in Reinsvoll, Vestre Toten Municipality, located halfway between Oslo and Lillehammer. In the 2026–2027 school year, the school will have approximately 100 students. Approximately 40 of the students in grades 1–4 will have a spot in the after-school program (SFO).

Job Details

We have an open 80% temporary position for an after-school program (SFO) director in the elementary school, currently based at Reinsvoll School. The temporary position runs from September 1, 2026, to July 31, 2027. The position reports to the school principal, who has overall responsibility for the after-school program, while the manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the program.

Qualifications

• Preference will be given to applicants who have earned 60 credits in education.
• We are seeking a manager who is interested in developing after-school programs for elementary school students.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong digital skills and understanding.

You must be able to lead development and improvement efforts at the after-school program in accordance with the school’s needs and the school owner’s goals and priority areas.
A submitted and approved police background check is required before assuming the position.

Salary Terms

The position’s salary is determined based on the collective bargaining agreement, qualifications, and the size of the after-school program.
The mutual probationary period is 6 months.
