Vestre Toten municipality has 4 municipal and 7 private kindergartens with a total of approximately 570 children. See information about the kindergartens on our website.

The kindergartens in Vestre Toten are involved in regional competence development in collaboration with the University of Innlandet.

Facts about the position

We have vacancies for up to two 100% permanent positions as a child and youth worker from August 2026. The positions are linked to Vestrumenga and Veltmanåa kindergartens in Raufoss.

The work will be both part of the basic staffing and strengthening measures for children with decisions on special educational assistance, in line with the Kindergarten Act. You will have an important role in creating safe, inclusive and developing days for children with different needs.

Qualifications
  • A certificate as a child and youth worker is desirable
  • General experience from kindergarten is desirable
  • Experience with children who have extra needs in language and social skills is an advantage
  • It is an advantage with experience and interest in children who need
    AAC - alternative and supplementary communication

A valid and approved police certificate is required before starting.
