The home care service in Vestre Toten Municipality is undergoing changes, and we need you to help shape the home care service of the future. We have many different tasks, and the days are varied. Here, you’ll have a great opportunity to develop and build strong professional expertise. We are seeking two healthcare workers in full-time positions. The work is on a rotating shift schedule and includes weekend work. The position is organized under the Health Center, Home Care Services, and the Department of Physical and Occupational Therapy, with the work location in Home Care Services.

Home care services are divided into 2 zones, each with its own manager and professional supervisor, and collaborate daily with occupational therapists and physical therapists. We are located at Sagatunet in the heart of downtown Raufoss.

Facts about the positions:

The positions involve rotating shifts, including weekends.

The positions are available upon agreement.

Job responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with patients and their families to facilitate the user’s ability to live at home for as long as possible.
  • Responsibility for various tasks in an interdisciplinary collaboration based on expertise.
  • Various tasks related to treatment and support for individuals with reduced functional ability.
  • Sharing responsibility for a positive work environment.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate others, including students and apprentices.
  • Holistic patient care with a focus on a comprehensive care pathway

Qualifications:

  • Certified healthcare assistant/nursing assistant, preferably with relevant continuing education in relevant fields.
  • Must be able to communicate well both in writing and orally in Norwegian.
  • Good knowledge of ICT tools, electronic collaboration, and professional systems such as Gerica.
  • A submitted and approved police background check is required before starting the position.
  • You must actively contribute to improving the service, including through Lean continuous improvement.
  • Class B driver’s license

Salary terms

The position is remunerated in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement, as well as qualifications and experience
