
The Planning Department is now expanding with a full-time (100%) position as a land-use planner. The department has a total of 16 employees and covers the following areas: Agriculture, Land Use Planning, Building Permits, Environment, and Maps and Surveying. The successful candidate will join the Land Use Planning team, which is currently expanding to five employees.

Job Responsibilities
The position’s main responsibilities will be the preparation of private and municipal zoning plans. Assistance with overarching plans and other development work, as well as preparing matters for political consideration, will also be part of the position.
The Land Use Planning Team also works on assessing and coordinating various interests related to land use planning, including landscape, coastal zone management, natural values and biodiversity, water resources, the built environment, cultural landscapes, place and urban development, and mobility.
The Planning and Building Act and the Public Administration Act are central to the job responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
Relevant higher education at the bachelor’s or master’s level in land management, physical planning, architecture, or related fields.
Relevant work experience combined with other professional expertise may compensate for the educational requirement.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in Norwegian.
Desirable qualifications:
Experience with municipal planning, digital mapping systems, and public administration is an advantage.

Salary Terms
Salary is determined by agreement based on qualifications and experience.
