Duties

As a fire technician with us, you play a key role in maintaining strong and preventive fire protection in our mining operations. You will be responsible for the supervision and maintenance of fire protection equipment, such as automatic fire alarms, extinguishing systems, rescue chambers, rescue rooms, gas detectors, portable fire extinguishers, breathing apparatus, fire hydrants, fire vehicles and fire/extinguishing/protection equipment.

You will work actively with the systematic fire protection work by carrying out checks and ensuring that our routines are followed. The role also includes supporting the granting of permits for hot work and contributing to the planning and implementation of training, exercises and emergency preparedness. You will participate in risk analyses and be responsible for documenting and following up fire protection measures and any incidents. As a fire technician, you are part of Viscaria's mine rescue organization. The position involves shift work.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with at least two years of experience of underground work and who have good physical working ability. You have undergone an approved medical examination and passed the work test according to AFS 2007: 7. You have a B-driving license and good knowledge of Swedish, both orally and in writing.

Additional:

• Completed GRiB training
• Previous experience in emergency services
• C-driving license
• Possession of a valid hot work certificate
