Viscaria mine in Kiruna is a significant copper deposit with strong geological and technical potential. With permits in place and a clear focus on modern and sustainable mining, operations continue to develop. The next phase involves strengthening the organization with clear roles and responsibilities.

We are looking for a section manager for preparation to our mining organization who wants to contribute to developing and shaping the future of mining together with us.

About the role

You will be responsible for the mine's preparation (tunneling) and rock reinforcement. You will lead a team consisting of own employees and external contractors. Tunneling is highly demanding in terms of quality and progress, you will be responsible for large contracts.

You will be part of the mine's management team and report to the mine manager.

The preparation function will be an important part of a successful mining operation. By collaborating with engineers and technicians, you will ensure that we maintain a high production standard while focusing on safety.

Who we are looking for

We would like you to have more than 10 years of relevant work experience in preparation or in tunneling in infrastructure projects. You have good knowledge of both Swedish and English, both spoken and written, and hold a B driving license. You appreciate the freedom to think strategically and have the ability to see both details and the big picture when it comes to your work. We value an ability to adapt to changing conditions and to solve problems with creativity and expertise.

It is meritorious if you have a relevant university education at university or civil engineering level.
