The Viscaria Mine in Kiruna is a significant copper deposit with strong geological and technical potential. With permits in place and a clear focus on modern and sustainable mining operations, the business continues to develop. The next phase involves strengthening the organization with clearly defined roles and responsibilities.

We are seeking a Section Manager for Infrastructure Site Service who wants to help build and develop the infrastructure and operational support services at the Viscaria Mine in Kiruna. Here, you’ll play a central role in creating a safe, well-functioning, and sustainable mining environment together with colleagues and contractors.

About the Role

As section manager, you are responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring operations, maintenance, and service within the section’s areas of responsibility. This includes road maintenance and traffic safety in the area, property management, waste management, maintenance of outdoor areas, and the operation and servicing of buildings and shared facilities. You will develop procedures and work methods that provide reliable day-to-day support for operations and meet the needs during the mine’s construction and ongoing operations.

An important part of the role is to participate in the drafting of contractor agreements and ensure clear requirements regarding scope, quality, and delivery. You will coordinate and monitor contractors’ work across all of the section’s areas of responsibility and ensure that contracted services are performed safely, efficiently, and with effective cost control.

You will work closely with the organization’s various functions to identify needs, prioritize initiatives, and develop services. Safety, workplace health and safety, environmental considerations, and quality are a natural part of your work, from planning and ordering to follow-up and improvement.

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone with relevant experience in infrastructure, property management, maintenance, or operational support services, preferably within the industrial or mining sectors. You have experience leading and coordinating work, as well as ordering and following up on contractor services. You have a good command of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, and hold a Class B driver’s license.

As a person, you are organized, solution-oriented, and clear in your communication. You combine a long-term perspective with the ability to manage the needs of day-to-day operations and prioritize when conditions change. You build strong working relationships with colleagues and contractors and drive improvements with a focus on safety, service, and resource efficiency. We value skills acquired through work experience.

We would like you to be interested in training to become a part-time firefighter within our Mine Rescue department and thereby contribute to the organization’s emergency response capabilities. This interest is welcome but is not a requirement for the position.

We strive for gender balance and an inclusive workplace where everyone is given equal opportunities. Therefore, we encourage women to apply for this position. All applicants are welcome and will be evaluated based on their qualifications and experience.

Here’s what we offer

You’ll take on a role with responsibility and influence in an organization closely tied to operations, where decisions are made close to day-to-day operations. You’ll be part of a long-term industrial initiative in Kiruna, where we’re building and developing a modern and sustainable mining operation.

The work is varied and involves close collaboration with colleagues in different parts of the business. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute your expertise, take initiative, and see tangible results from your work.
