The Opportunity

As a Control and Protection Manager you will be part of HVDC unit. You will lead a team of Commissioning Engineers specialized in MACH, IEDs, SCADA and HMI. You will have a direct interface with our customers. You will have the opportunity to develop your expertise in HVDC technology as well as your leadership skills in a fast-paced environment and you will have the possibility to influence several projects with your decisions making, in order to enable the energy grid transition faster and in a bigger scale.

This position is based in Ludvika, Sweden.

How you will make an impact

  • Lead and develop a global team of Commissioning Engineers within Control and Protection
  • Ensure high-quality execution and deliverables aligned with project timelines and customer expectations.
  • Drive strategic planning and resource allocation for HVDC commissioning activities worldwide.
  • Strengthen cross-functional collaboration and customer interfaces to optimize project outcomes.
  • Champion continuous improvement and process development within the commissioning domain.
  • Support tendering and scope definition to secure successful project starts and transitions.

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer science; Master’s or MBA is a plus
  • Extensive experience in Control & Protection, SCADA, and commissioning of complex energy systems
  • Solid understanding of HVDC technology and AC substations, including MACH and IEC61850
  • Proven leadership and coaching skills in technical environments with high complexity
  • Strong communication abilities and a pragmatic approach to standards and regulations
  • Willingness to travel and manage multiple parallel activities in a dynamic global setting
