GI Valves (Grid Integration) is a product group in Hitachi Energy, which develops, manufactures, and sells Converter Valves on the global market.

GI Valves are hosted by HVDC (High voltage direct current). The technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. It is also used to connect power systems.

In this role you will be a part of GI Valves and Global Product Support team. As a PLM Program Manager, you will be part of a dedicated team of eight professionals responsible for ensuring a harmonized product and production portfolio. Your key responsibilities will include leading the implementation of PLM.

How you’ll impact

  • Project Management: Establish and monitor PLM roadmap; Define, prioritize, oversee, communicate and steer an activity portfolio (studies and projects) that addresses these business needs, including control and prioritization of own resources and budget.
  • Collaboration: Act as a single point of contact for the PLM Centralized PLM Program (HVDC PLM Program), ensuring close cooperation with all functions and maximizing efficiency. Report to Management steering committee as well as leading the GI Valves PLM core team.
  • Implementation: Design and manage the implementation of cost-effective business processes using IS-based solutions to reduce cycle time, overhead, and improve overall process efficiency. Ensure that PLM standard processes and functions are implemented as far as possible, considering business requirements

Your background

  • Education: A degree in a relevant field such as engineering, information systems, or related discipline.
  • Project Management: Experience in managing complex projects within relevant field. Project Management certificate is a merit.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders. You are fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Leadership: Proven leadership experience in dynamic and technically challenging environments. Lead organization in changes.
