About the role
In the role Service Sales Specialist you are part of our international Grid Automation Service Sales Team. We offer service solutions for station automation systems, control and protection, cyber security, communication and remote control technologies. You will join a team where your colleagues are experienced and motivated and work from a customer and service focused approach. Our ambition is to deliver the highest quality service, with solutions tailored to customer needs. In this role, you will be responsible for service quotes from the initial customer request to contract writing and handover to the project department.
Developing sales plans to ensure growth in service, building long-term customer relationships, driving high customer satisfaction and ensuring that specific customer needs and questions are handled appropriately, are crucial success factors for this role.
The position is based in Västerås/Stockholm, Sweden. There is the possibility of hybrid working if you live within commuting distance to the office.
Your responsibilities
- You implement the service sales strategy and growth plans, and engage with the installed base (IB) to promote upgrades and value-added solutions.
- You will conduct sales calls, make site visits to customers, generate leads and develop new market opportunities based on market trends.
- You will establish long-term customer relationships, understand their requirements and regulations, demonstrate technical competence and ensure customer satisfaction. You are prepared to travel frequently within Sweden to meet your customers.
- You sell the service product portfolio, monitor sales proposals and tenders, prepare service offers, communicate contract details and manage the administrative sales process.
- You act as a marketer and salesperson during marketing activities, finding customer needs to relevant service offers and solutions.
- You contribute to risk assessments, record information in the SFDC, ensure technical reliability, safety and cost-effective solutions, and comply with health and safety directives.
- You provide technical guidance for service sales training to less experienced employees and support management with key data and insights on markets and effective sales tactics.
Your background
- You have a Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field, such as electrical power.
- You have at least 5 years of experience in sales, sales support and/or service of electrical power systems/solutions.
- If you have experience working with substation equipment (e.g. IED, RTU, SCADA, communication, etc.) and current technical sales and/or customer-facing experience in presenting substation solutions, this is highly advantageous.
- You are expected to be familiar with substation equipment operation and maintenance practices as well as substation construction.
- It is meritorious if you have experience in negotiating long-term service agreements for substations, or other equivalent agreements.
- If you have knowledge of Hitachi Energy's products and services in electric power, this is meritorious.
- Fluent Swedish and English, both in speech and writing, is a requirement.
