Borlänge, Sverige
Type of Employment Full-time
Job position Production coordinator

Application due date 15 June 2025
Are you the one?

Underhåll Format is looking for a coordinator for two of our Format lines.

You will be an important cog in the work towards a higher degree of digitized condition-based maintenance. Since you are technically skilled in your field, you will be driving and assisting with questions from the entire production organization linked to maintenance. Location is Borlänge.

Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining us on a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the future of the planet and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for the development of our society and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges connecting our cities and in the cars of tomorrow. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. We have therefore developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production and around 2030 we will be largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will be important in realizing this goal and thus contribute to a green transition of the entire steel industry.

About the position

In Maintenance Format, about 30 people work in two sections, electrical and mechanical, who perform planned maintenance in our production facilities. All maintenance resources are locally located. The most important task for Maintenance Format is the work with preventive, sustaining maintenance and continuous improvements. Participation in projects is also an important part.

As Maintenance Coordinator towards Format lines 2 and 3, you will be responsible for planning and staffing our maintenance works. You will work in a team with coordinators, preparers and performers where you together create and perform efficient maintenance that provides the conditions for stable production. The role involves a large mandate in issues that affect the production outcome. A key to success in the role of coordinator is that you can plan and have the ability to get other people with you.

Your main responsibilities

  • Support the work group in planning and scheduling linked to the daily work in preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Fault finding, analysis and development of existing equipment, systems and working methods.
  • Work with the development of working methods, skills and equipment to improve the working environment, safety and operational reliability.
  • As a coordinator, you have a central role in production with many collaboration areas both internally and externally.

About you

  • We are looking for you who have experience in maintenance technology and work management.
  • If you have good knowledge of process technology, this is an advantage.
  • You need to have good computer skills and the ability to express yourself well in both speech and writing.
  • You are structured, thorough, responsible, communicative, responsive and loyal.
  • As a person, you are confident and experienced in taking responsibility and are used to controlling and quality assuring your work.
  • You need to be confident to be at the center of events and to be adaptable to the conditions. You are a team player who collaborates effectively with others and shares knowledge, experience and information.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing and a B driving license are a requirement.
