SSAB - Data Engineer - System Development
Oxelösund, Sverige
Type of Employment Full-time

Application due date 9 June 2025
Are you the one?

Are you a responsible problem solver looking for the next challenge? We are now looking for a Data Engineer for our facility in Oxelösund. Here you get to create, develop and shape the latest technology together in a team that supports each other. Do you have a great interest in technology and want to be an important cog in a large machine? Welcome with your application already today!

Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the future of the planet and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for the development of our society and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges connecting our cities and in the cars of tomorrow. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. We have therefore developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production and around 2030 we will be largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will be important in realizing this goal and thus contribute to a green transition of the entire steel industry.

Do you want to be part of developing a data platform at the forefront of a company that drives digitalization and sustainability? With us at SSAB, you get to work with modern technology, great responsibility and in a close-knit team with high competence. We offer flexible working hours, remote work, profit-sharing programs, collective agreements and great opportunities for personal development. Here you get the chance to work close to production and see the effect of your work in real time.

You will belong to the System Development department within the Strategy unit and become part of a cross-functional team with a high technical level. We work in close contact with automation engineers and data scientists - often directly linked to production.

We are a leading player in sustainable steel production and are in a major digital transition. We are investing in fossil-free production and technological innovation - which makes your contribution as a Data Engineer both meaningful and socially important.

Distance work is possible but presence in Oxelösund a few days a week is desirable.
