Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining us on a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the future of the planet and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for the development of our society and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges connecting our cities and in the cars of tomorrow. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. We have therefore developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production and around 2030 we will be largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will be important in realizing this goal and thus contribute to a green transition of the entire steel industry.
As Section Manager, you are responsible for leading, developing and streamlining preventive maintenance and supporting remedial maintenance within one of our maintenance sections with a focus on our overhead cranes and marking machines in production. You work closely with production across the unit with customers in all operating sections and plan and follow up maintenance efforts to ensure the availability of our facilities. The role includes personnel responsibility and with a strong focus on safety and continuous improvement, you coach, support and develop your team to achieve set goals.
You are also an important part of the strategic improvement work and our projects where you are expected to actively contribute to strengthening operational safety, availability, cost efficiency and sustainability together with your team.
