Do you have a keen eye for detail, an analytical mind and a passion for continuous improvement? We're looking for a quality engineer who wants to help ensure that our products and processes maintain the highest possible quality. With us, you will have a key role in driving quality work forward - from analysis to action - in a business where quality really makes a difference. A journey that we believe is crucial for the future of the planet and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for the development of our society and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges connecting our cities and in the cars of tomorrow. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. We have therefore developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production and are committed to becoming largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will play an important role in realizing this goal and thus contribute to the green transition of the entire steel industry.

About the position

As Quality Support, you will play a central role in our work to identify, analyze and correct quality deficiencies. You will:

-Draw up documentation and perform analyses of quality deficiencies using analysis tools to create a clear picture of the current situation and identify areas for improvement.

- Support in identifying quality deficiencies in collaboration with the business and help create a culture of continuous improvement.

-Assist in investigating problems and setting action plans and key figures that lead to concrete and sustainable improvements.

The position is a temporary position for 1 year.

Your main responsibilities

  • Develop, analyze and present statistics.
  • Develop improvement proposals in the area for which you are responsible.
  • Present analyses and proposals to the line and possibly other stakeholders.
  • Support the respective department in case of quality deviations.

About you

  • We believe that you are structured, analytical and have good communication skills. You have experience in process development or quality work and thrive in a role where you get to collaborate with different parts of the organization.
  • You have a multi-year university education, preferably with a focus on materials science, manufacturing processes or quality.
  • Knowledge of steel manufacturing and experience in QA is an advantage.
  • Your analytical skills are important and you are used to data management as well as giving presentations and acting as a meeting leader.
  • You need to be able to speak and write Swedish and English fluently.
