About the position

As a Risk Manager with us, you have a central role in developing, coordinating and driving risk management work at SSAB in Borlänge. You work both strategically and operationally and are an important link between the business, insurers and other key stakeholders. The work is done in close collaboration with other safety functions, production and external parties such as insurance companies and authorities.

Your main responsibilities

  • Drive and develop risk management work in accordance with SSAB's directives and instructions.
  • Coordinate and carry out risk analyses and continuity planning for the production facility in Borlänge. Coordinate and follow up insurance audits at the site.
  • Responsible for the site's contacts with insurance companies and insurance brokers. You will also identify and report risks with potential impact on insurance costs.
  • Represent Borlänge in the work of the Property Loss Control Guide (PLCG), including interpretation, application and revision.
  • Ensure that requirements from authorities and insurance contracts are implemented in the management system and train and support the business in procedures and systems linked to risk management and insurance.
  • Participate in relevant councils, management reviews and other forums related to risk management.
  • Document and revise current risk management documentation in relevant systems such as SWIRMA.
  • Provide local support to the business in its own risk management work.

About you - Requirements

  • A post-secondary education in a relevant field, such as university, vocational college or other education in combination with experience that the employer considers equivalent.
  • Good understanding of risk management.
  • Experience of working with management systems in the work environment, environment and safety.
  • Good ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with different actors both internally and externally.
  • Structured, independent, proactive and analytical with high integrity.
  • Has a holistic perspective but the ability to go into detail when needed.
  • B driving license.

About you - Meritorious

  • Experience from the process industry or other large-scale operations.
  • Good knowledge of insurance issues, especially linked to industrial operations.
  • Knowledge of PLCG and experience of working with insurance brokers.
  • Knowledge of systems such as SWIRMA or similar.
