Are you the one?

Are you a driven and solution-oriented technician with experience in maintenance and development work? SSAB in Luleå is now looking for a technician for our vehicle workshop. Here you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with varied tasks and great development opportunities.

Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining us on a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the future of the planet and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for the development of our society and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges connecting our cities and in the cars of tomorrow. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. We have therefore developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production and around 2030 we will be largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will play an important role in realizing this goal and thus contribute to the green transition of the entire steel industry.

As a technician at our vehicle workshop, you will have a central role in ensuring that our equipment and systems work optimally. You will be responsible for the maintenance of the property, including gates, overhead cranes, fire protection and wiring. You will also manage 3rd party inspections via Q3 web/IFS and follow up on maintenance work.

An important part of your work will be to communicate regularly with suppliers, hold meetings and follow up on agreements and purchase orders. You will drive development issues both short and long term and participate in and lead projects in various subject areas. Safety work in MIA, including follow-up of risks and risk analyzes, is also a central part of the service.

Your main responsibilities

  • Maintenance of the property, including gates, traverses, fire protection and wiring.
  • Management of 3rd party inspections via Q3 web/IFS
  • Continuous communication with suppliers and follow-up of agreements.
  • Drive development issues and projects.

About you

  • You have a curiosity and drive to learn new things.
  • You care about your own and others' safety.
  • You are a team player who likes to work in teams.
  • You have good self-awareness, spread positive energy and lead by example.
  • You contribute to improvements and achieve results.
