As a work environment engineer at Work Environment & Health, you will be an expert resource that supports the business in the work of preventing illness and accidents and promoting the health of individuals, groups and organizations. Through competent advice, you contribute to the business meeting legal requirements in the work environment area and that risk prevention methods and tools are introduced.

You will have contacts with authorities and the outside world and may also act as an internal auditor. It is a varied job where you will have many contacts around our exciting business. Your immediate team includes other work environment engineers, chemical engineer, leisure consultant, service men at our Wellness Center, training manager crane & truck and coordinator fall protection.

Your main responsibilities

  • Be expert support in the field of work environment and current work environment legislation.
  • Contribute to SSAB's active, systematic and improvement-oriented work in the field of occupational health and safety.
  • Support the organization in carrying out investigations, controls, risk assessments and surveys.
  • Develop information material, governing and supporting documents and develop and conduct training.
  • Be a contact person for authorities, mainly the Swedish Work Environment Authority.

About you

  • We would like you to have a university / college education with a work environment focus or other equivalent education, or well-documented work experience that has provided equivalent competence.
  • You have several years of professional experience in the relevant field.
  • You cooperate well with others but can also pursue issues independently.
  • You are enterprising and thrive with many contact areas and parallel assignments.
  • You are trustworthy, educational and solution-oriented.
  • You have good ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, in a simple and accessible way to different target groups. Communication is in both Swedish and English.
