The Opportunity

Are you ready to join a dynamic team at the forefront of cooling system innovation? Hitachi Energy Cooling Systems is in a growth phase and we are now looking for a driven person to strengthen the system design group which today consists of 7 people. As a system designer, you will work in projects and closely with the other design groups responsible for mechanical design of pumping stations, design of external piping systems and electrical design.

Our team is mainly based in Landskrona, but we also have team members working from India. We are a strong team with broad competence where collaboration is always a priority. How you will make an impact

• Responsible for the mechanical functions of the system during system design, including sizing of pipes, development of flow diagrams and selection of components such as pumps, motors, coolers and instruments.
• Write purchase specifications for major components and handle technical issues with our suppliers.
• Dimension vessels and other in-house designed components.
• Support the marketing department with technical questions during the quotation stage.
• Collaborate with customers, colleagues and other departments, which will be an essential part of your work.

Your background

• Experience working with system design, fluid dynamics, pipe design or strength calculation, or a post-secondary education in relevant fields.
• Experience working in different types of projects, preferably in industry.
• Several years of experience in similar roles.
• Knowledge of industrial refrigeration, water treatment, wastewater treatment, biogas, ships, oil and gas or nuclear power is an advantage.
• Ability to lead yourself and deliver the right results on time.
• Curiosity and ability to combine theory with practice is very valuable.
• You master both Swedish and English, in speech and writing.
