The brand-new cultural center, Aurora, is a gathering place where culture, education, community life, and business intertwine in the center of Kiruna. The Sámi cultural heritage
When you are in Kiruna, you are also in Sápmi - the land of the indigenous Sámi. The Sámi culture and heritage can be seen throughout the community in arts and crafts such as the magnificent Jukkasjärvi Church Organ. The new city center of Kiruna has been designed to ensure that all activities are within walking distance. The shops, restaurants, and cafes are planned around a pedestrian-only street, mixed in with offices and flats to ensure a vibrant city center feeling.
