MindDig AI Transparency Statement

MindDig AI Transparency Statement

Effective Date: June 23, 2025

MindDig AB uses artificial intelligence (AI) to support job matching and recruitment. This statement explains how AI is used, its impact on users, and your rights. It is provided in accordance with Article 52 of the EU Artificial Intelligence Act, as our system qualifies as a high-risk AI system under Annex III, Section 4(a).

1. Where and Why We Use AI

We use AI-based algorithms to:

  • Recommend job opportunities to candidates based on their skills, experience, and preferences
  • Suggest talent profiles to employers that best fit their job postings
  • Rank or filter potential matches to support efficient recruitment decisions

These AI systems are intended to augment, not replace, human decision-making.

2. How Our AI Works (in plain terms)

Our platform uses tag-based data and structured profiles (e.g., skills, industry experience, work preferences) to identify potential matches. The system compares your profile information to job requirements and ranks potential matches accordingly.

The AI system does not make final hiring decisions — it only provides non-binding recommendations to employers and candidates.

3. What Our AI Does Not Use

We do not use personal data related to:

  • Race or ethnic origin
  • Gender or sexual orientation
  • Political opinions or religious beliefs
  • Disability status
  • Age or biometric data

These attributes are excluded from all AI matching and decision-making processes, in accordance with anti-discrimination laws and the EU AI Act.

4. Why Our System Is Considered High-Risk

Because our platform supports decisions that impact employment and access to jobs, it is classified as a high-risk AI system. Although AI suggestions are non-binding, they can influence hiring processes and therefore fall under strict compliance rules.

5. Human Oversight

All AI-generated recommendations are subject to human review. Employers retain full discretion over who to interview or hire, and you are free to apply to any job regardless of AI recommendations.

6. Your Rights

Under the EU AI Act and GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Be informed that you are interacting with an AI system (this statement fulfills that obligation)
  • Request human review of any automated recommendation
  • Contest or object to how your data is used for automated processing
  • Access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time

To exercise any of these rights, email: support@minddig.com

7. System Risk Classification

Our AI matching system is considered a high-risk system under the EU Artificial Intelligence Act. We meet all required transparency, documentation, and monitoring standards for this risk level.
